Police are on the scene of a motor vehicle accident at the Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, Illinois, around 40 miles south of Chicago according to Time. Shoppers in the mall are reporting that a car crashed through the entrance of a sears store, and then continued to drive through the mall erratically.
Video footage was posted to Twitter showing the vehicle crash through the inner sections of Woodfield Mall:

The Woodfield Mall is the largest shopping mall in the state with over 300 stores and restaurants, drawing large crowds on the weekends.
The suspect believed to be the cars driver is in custody according to an official Schaumburg Twitter account.
NBC Chicago reporter Eric Cox shared photos of the damage to the mall along with a photo of the man believed to be the driver being taken into custody:

This video was taken minutes after a person drove through the shopping center in a Black SUV.
Still no word from police on if anyone’s been injured.

Despite the terrifying scene, there have not been any confirmed reports of injuries.
