An Indiana man is in police custody after leading them on a 140 mph chase through Lake County.

According to Fox59, A trooper parked on the shoulder of EB 1-80/94 clocked the 2002 Acura TL at 116 MPH in a 55 MPH zone.

After spotting the trooper behind him, the Acura driver continued to accelerate to speeds of up to 140 mph, weaving around traffic and passing on the shoulder.

Noticing that the police officer wasn’t having trouble keeping up, the driver finally came to a stop at Central Avenue.

Dino Lorenzo Gagliano, aged 20, was taken into custody and later explained that he was worried about his license, but he thought that ISP cruisers had V6 engines. He admitted to being surprised when the trooper was able to catch up with him.
